Job summary
Sandwell & West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust is looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and motivated individual to take up the post of Management Accountant for Women & Child Health, Chief Nursing Officer and Chief Development Officer.
As a member of the Financial Management Team, you will support in the provision of comprehensive high‑quality financial support across the Trust to the Divisional Management teams, individual budget holders and other relevant colleagues both internal and external to the Trust.
Main duties of the job
* Support the Senior Management Accountant and the Divisional Finance Manager in the monthly Budget Monitoring and Control process.
* Provide a business support service to the Division.
* Support the development of junior staff.
* Be an active member of the Financial Management team, contributing to its development.
* Maintain a sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and computerised financial systems.
* Work to strict deadlines and provide clear and concise financial information and advice to non‑financial managers.
Person Specification
Experience (Essential)
* Financial management experience within the NHS.
Experience (Desirable)
* Staff Development.
Personal Attributes (Essential)
* Ability to establish and maintain positive working relations.
* Ability to adopt a flexible approach to meeting multiple tight deadlines.
* Self‑motivated and ambitious.
Qualifications (Essential)
* Educated to degree level or equivalent.
Qualifications (Desirable)
* Working towards CCAB qualifications or willingness to undertake.
