Resettlement & Release Planning Manager
As a Resettlement & Release Planning Manager in our Justice and Immigration team, you’ll lead the delivery of resettlement and release planning services, helping people rebuild their lives and reduce reoffending. Your work has real purpose – ensuring individuals leave custody with the support, skills, and opportunities they need to succeed.
Responsibilities
* Lead resettlement and release planning activity, ensuring effective “Through the Gate” support for individuals approaching release
* Manage and coordinate third‑party providers delivering specialist services including housing, employment, finance, and wellbeing
* Chair key forums such as the Resettlement Board and contribute to the Reducing Reoffending strategy
* Work collaboratively with internal teams to create purposeful activities and opportunities aligned to labour market needs
* Review and continuously improve resettlement services to enhance outcomes for those in custody
* Lead, support, and develop your team to deliver high‑quality services and drive performance
Qualifications
* Experience managing teams and delivering services in a complex or challenging environment
* Strong collaboration skills and ability to build effective partnerships with a range of stakeholders
* Knowledge or experience of resettlement, rehabilitation, or reducing reoffending approaches
* Excellent communication, organisational, and problem‑solving skills
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English (grade 4 or above), with a leadership qualification desirable
Vetting & Checks
An Enhanced Level 1 check is required for this role. This includes spent and unspent convictions, cautions, and any relevant information held by local police, in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and safeguarding requirements. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire.
