Main duties of the job
We are looking for a dynamic person that is committed to giving person centred care to our stroke patients. You will need to be caring and compassionate and show empathy.
You will be looking after a team of patients - supported by other nurses
You will be involved in completing risk assessments, care plans, documentation, admissions and discharges
Working for our organisation
We are a 24 bed stroke rehabilitation unit. We embed team working from all grades on the ward and we work collaboratively with our ward doctors and our allied health professionals based on the ward (physio, OT, SLT etc)
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
You will look after a team of patients with support from our trained nurses and nurse in charge.
You will be completing medication rounds and ensuring your patients are cared for throughout the shift.
we will support you in your career with us on stroke and will ensure you have training to support you
Person specification
Qualifications
Essential criteria
1. Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC register
2. Nursing Associate foundation degree qualification
3. GCSE Grade A-C or Grade 4 or above in Maths & English or skills level 2 Maths & English or equivalent
Desirable criteria
4. Good Information Technology skills
Knowledge & Experience
Essential criteria
5. Significant experience working in a healthcare environment as part of a team.
6. Proven competency of assisting with a core range of physical measurements.
Desirable criteria
7. Experience of using clinical systems –e.g. Quadramed
