Do you have a deep understanding of Business Central architecture, solution design, and manufacturing modules? This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with commercial and technical teams, define best-in-class manufacturing solutions, and ensure seamless integrations across business applications. Your ability to align technology with complex manufacturing processes will be critical to success.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the technical lead and solution owner for Dynamics 365 Business Central manufacturing implementations.
Engage with stakeholders to define solution architecture, gather requirements, and align Business Central with manufacturing and wider business objectives.
Design scalable, high-performing solutions for manufacturing environments, ensuring best practices in production planning, scheduling, and shop floor control.
Oversee end-to-end implementations, including:
Solution design & architecture
Manufacturing module configuration (Production Orders, BOMs, Routings, MRP, Capacity Planning, Shop Floor Data Capture)
Data migration strategies
User training & system testing
Provide technical leadership to functional consultants, developers, and integration teams.
Define and enforce governance, standards, and best practices for Business Central in manufacturing contexts.
Act as a trusted advisor to clients, recommending ERP solutions that enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimise production flows.
Drive innovation by staying ahead of emerging trends and new features in Business Central manufacturing.
Take responsibility for technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and mentoring junior consultants.
Collaborate with pre-sales teams, contributing to solution design, proposals, and proof-of-concept demonstrations.
Ensure seamless integration between Business Central, Power Platform, Azure, and third-party applications.Essential Qualifications & Experience
7+ years of experience in Dynamics 365 Business Central/Navision (2013+), with a strong track record in solution architecture and manufacturing-focused implementations.
Deep expertise in Business Central manufacturing modules (Production, Planning, MRP, Capacity, Inventory, Shop Floor).
Strong knowledge of third-party tools such as Continia, Jet Reports, and Power BI.
Experience with C/AL & AL development, extending Business Central with custom solutions.
Hands-on experience with Azure Services, Dataverse, and Power Platform.
Strong understanding of Office 365 and its integration with Dynamics 365.
Ability to create scalable reporting solutions using SSRS and Power BI.
Experience leading cross-functional teams and mentoring junior consultants.
Strong pre-sales experience, including solution design, RFPs, and client presentations.
Proven ability to design and deliver high-performance, cost-effective ERP solutions that drive measurable business value.Desirable Skills
Experience in multi-tenant or multi-company Business Central environments.
Familiarity with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native application design.
