About the Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support students in the classroom and in one-to-one settings, helping them engage with lessons, access the curriculum, and develop academically and personally. Working closely with teachers and support staff, you will provide hands-on assistance, encourage positive behaviour, and contribute to an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
Responsibilities:
* Support students in both classroom and 1:1 settings to help them fully engage with learning activities.
* Assist teachers with lesson delivery and preparation of resources.
* Promote positive behaviour, confidence, and independence in students.
* Monitor and record student progress, engagement, and behaviour.
* Provide personalised support for students with additional learning needs.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN coordinators, and other staff to deliver holistic support.
Qualifications:
* Previous experience supporting students with SEN or in a similar role preferred.
* Knowledge of strategies to support children with additional learning needs.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, empathy, and flexibility to support students effectively.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
