Title: Maintenance Engineer

Eurokey Recycling Ltd have been part of The Reconomy Group since March 2021, as such we are now able to utilise the groups services and be able to offer our customers a wider offering to help them with their recycling requirements. Having had over 30 years' experience we are market leaders within our field and are now experiencing a period of organic growth and have opened a multi-million-pound bespoke facility in Kettering, Northamptonshire. We will be the only company in the UK that can offer a genuine solution to process single polymer plastic packaging which in turn will reduce the need to export.
The role Maintenance Engineer will be pivotal to the operation as you will be ensuring that the production runs smoothly with any technical issues being dealt with promptly.
Core Duties – but not exhaustive to:
Responsible for the maintenance of all the machinery, conveyor belts (training given) and any other assets relating to Eurokey Recycling
* Maintain and adhere to the service schedule for machinery in line with manufactures guidelines and our maintenance management system.
* Responsible for repair or breakdowns on site.
* Manage and support shift maintenance assistant.
* Order and keep an accurate itinerary of spare parts ordered and in stock.
* Carry out a daily check on all equipment prior to shift starting and throughout the shift.
* Create a stock itinerary of all tools kept on site with a signing in and out of high value items through our maintenance management system.
* Highlight any issues to the Head of Maintenance or Site Ops Manager.
* Onboard and integrate with the electronic management systems used for maintenance and Health and Safety management
* Ensure that there is a sufficient stock of supplies kept on site and an accurate record kept.
* Report any misuse of machinery of any kind to the Head of Maintenance & Health & Safety Manager.
* Ensure that the working areas are kept tidy and free of loose material, reducing the risk of slips, trips & falls/ hazards.
* Ensure any H & S concerns are reported to the Head of Maintenance or H & S Manager.
* Ensure that site visitors/users are wearing the appropriate PPE including footwear and have signed in at reception.
* Ensure there is a full handover to the night, or day shift as per site specific templates.
* Take responsibility for the shift from a maintenance standpoint, in the absence of the head of maintenance.
Skills Required:
* Knowledge of optical sorters, ballistic separators and conveyor belts would be an advantage
* Health and Safety knowledge would be desirable
* A high sense of urgency in troubleshooting issues to rectify plant issues.
* Ability to use initiative under pressure.
* Ability to remain proactive throughout the shift highlighting/ escalating issues where necessary.
* Industry experience would be an advantage.
* Can do and positive attitude.
* Be able to work individually as well as part of a team.
* Always remain professional with all members of staff and visitors.
* Must have flexibility to do overtime if the business requires it.

Pay: £38,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
