Factory Fettling Operative
Rochester (ideally hold a UK driving licence due to limited public transport routes)
£30k
Monday – Friday (Early finish on Fridays!)
Are you reliable, hands-on, and looking to join a business where your work genuinely matters? We’re supporting a well-established company in the Rochester area that’s looking to grow their team with a dependable and hardworking Factory Operative.
This is a varied, physical role based in a busy production environment, where you'll be primarily shot blasting and supporting the wider team with general manufacturing and fettling tasks.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Shot blasting different products and materials
Operating a band saw to process materials
Following technical instructions to complete tasks accurately
Carrying out manual handling and moving materials around the factory
Assisting with additional tasks when required
Recording your work using touch-screen systems and job cards
Maintaining a clean and safe working environment in line with procedures
What We’re Looking For:
Previous factory or production experience is helpful, but not essential
Previous experience shot blasting – not completely essential.
Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
A team player with a positive, can-do attitude
Attention to detail and a willingness to follow instructions closely
