Principal Project Director - Civil Infrastructure
Location: Glasgow
Salary: £75,000 - £90,000

This Principal Project Director opportunity offers real influence, strategic responsibility and the chance to shape a high-performing civil engineering team.
A well-established engineering consultancy with around 60 staff is continuing to grow its civil engineering capability across Scotland and the north of England. As a Principal Project Director, you will play a central role within a close-knit Glasgow civils team, leading the delivery of development infrastructure projects across industrial, commercial, residential and education sectors. The business operates with a strong office-based culture, encouraging collaboration, design quality and team engagement.
Responsibilities
* Lead the delivery of development infrastructure projects from concept through to construction
* Oversee roads, drainage and earthworks design across multiple schemes
* Manage client relationships and act as a key point of contact
* Support business development, fee proposals and project resourcing
* Provide leadership, mentoring and technical guidance to engineers and technicians
* Ensure quality, compliance and programme delivery across projects
Candidate requirements
* Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or similar
* Significant UK consultancy experience in development infrastructure
* Strong background in roads, drainage and infrastructure design
* Proven leadership and client-facing experience
* Chartered status or equivalent level of experience
* Commercial awareness and experience supporting project growth
