Job Purpose To plan, deliver and assess high-quality Psychology lessons that engage and inspire students, fostering their understanding of the subject and helping them achieve their academic potential at KS4 and KS5. Key Responsibilities Teaching & Learning * Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons in Psychology in line with the school’s curriculum and exam board specifications. * Teach GCSE and/or A-Level Psychology (or equivalent qualifications), adapting materials to meet the needs of all learners. * Set, mark and assess work to ensure students make progress and achieve their targets. * Use data to track and monitor student progress, identifying underachievement and implementing interventions. * Maintain up-to-date subject knowledge and pedagogy. Classroom Management & Behaviour * Establish a safe, stimulating and well-managed learning environment. * Promote positive behaviour and high expectations in line with school policies. * Contribute to whole-school behaviour and safeguarding procedures.
