Job Description
Here in the People & Places (P&P) Control Office, there is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new team passionate about the P&P Control optimisation and automation journey. This is a prominent role within a team of subject matter experts providing insightful analysis and evaluation of the P&P control environment and safeguarding the business. The role provides a real opportunity to identify inefficiencies and drive automation for an optimised control environment.
In this role, you’ll work with the control specialist leadership to support the delivery of this next phase of transformation for Lloyds Banking Group.

Accountabilities
1. Work with the Senior Manager on the P&P control automation journey. Identify existing opportunities for control automation, control gaps, and use control by design where applicable to drive automation.
2. Collaborate with platform teams to design, build, cost, and deliver on the automation journey.
3. Cascade P&P's automation review schedule and methodology to relevant stakeholders. Support initial deep dives into control automation within P&P.
4. Liaise with business partners to champion and progress control automation initiatives.
5. Work with risk and control owner teams to deliver against strategic outcomes.
6. Analyze and assess control environment efficiency using various sources, identifying potential impacts on the business.
7. Support the development and implementation of control strategies to supervise and test the control environment across end-to-end processes.
8. Lead control testing and transactional work, supervising a small team.
9. Support the development of control tooling solutions to optimize the control environment.
10. Maintain effective data quality for reporting on control effectiveness and performance.
11. Assist in managing actions on operational risk events and breaches, identifying issues, and implementing improvements.
12. Monitor progression via dashboards reported to P&P Risk Committee.
What We Need From You
* Control Practitioner: Experience in control by design, implementing, and monitoring control strategies, with strong testing capabilities.
* Data & Analytics: Ability to interpret data, problem-solve, and develop analytical processes for control performance reporting.
* Clear Reporting: Expertise in creating effective reports on automation, compliance, and control optimization.
* Great Influencing: Ability to support senior management and act as a control management partner, fostering collaboration.
* Control Automation & Optimization: Experience with process mapping, automation, and embedding control by design.
