Role: Software Tester
Location: Enfield (Onsite)
Salary: Up to £50,
An established engineering organisation operating in a highly technical environment is seeking a Software Test Engineer to join its growing team. This role offers the opportunity to work on software that supports complex products and services used in demanding, real-world applications.
The Role
You will be responsible for building and testing software across the development lifecycle, with a strong focus on test and integration. The role involves producing and maintaining build and test documentation, supporting improvements in software testability, and acting as a technical point of contact for internal teams and external partners. Occasional travel, including visits onboard vessels in the UK and overseas, will be required.
Key Technical Skills & Experience
1. Minimum 1 year's hands-on experience testing Windows-based PC software
2. Strong understanding of the Software Engineering Lifecycle, particularly testing and integration
3. Experience writing test plans, test specifications, and test reports
4. Knowledge of scripting and/or programming languages to support test and build automation
5. Experience building software and software installers (desirable)
6. Good general IT skills, including proficiency with MS Office
7. Background within a technical or engineering-led environment

10. Willing and able to travel occasionally as required
