Support Worker
Location: Bathgate
Hours: 21 hours per week
Hourly Rate: £12.60 per hour
The Role
Our Support Workers provide a person-centred approach to deliver quality support, making our service flexible and adaptable to individual needs.
The role is vital to the quality of support and can be rewarding and inspiring. You will assist people in achieving meaningful outcomes, participating in their community, and developing or maintaining relationships.
You will support adults with learning disabilities to manage their homes, health, and wellbeing. This includes personal care, medication management, housework, cooking, and fostering independence skills.
Daily and weekly social support will promote community involvement, independence, and new experiences. Support plans and risk assessments are in place to ensure accurate support, and you will liaise with medical professionals as needed.
You may work across other services we provide in West Lothian.
An enhanced Adult PVG check is required for this role.
Support Needs
This role involves supporting:
* One individual with challenging behaviours at times, but not violent (e.g., epilepsy, mental health, dementia).
* Two individuals who are wheelchair users; one is physically disabled, and the other uses a wheelchair for social outings.
Shift Pattern
Flexible shifts are available. Ensure you can travel to and from the service for each shift and communicate any issues before the second interview.
Shifts include 8, 9, 10, 11 am – 3 pm, 3 pm – 9:30 pm, and two waking night shifts from 9:30 pm – 8 am.
