Isabel's Bar & Restaurant is a vibrant, premium dining and drinking destination at the heart of Burton-on-Trent. Known for our impeccable service, beautifully crafted dishes, and welcoming atmosphere, Isabel's has grown to become a cornerstone of the local hospitality scene. Following the recent and highly successful launch of our second site in Zakynthos, we're continuing to build on that momentum—now expanding our hours to include breakfast and lunch midweek to better serve our incredible community.
The Right Candidate:
As a FOH Manager you will lead by example and set the tone for the team. You will be a natural people person with a keen eye for detail and the desire to succeed. You will be responsible for making sure the restaurant runs smoothly and will assist the general manager in the day to day opening and closing of the establishment. You will also be expected to complete appropriate admin work and be commercially aware at all times.
You will work closely with the General Manager and Business Development Manager to continue Year on Year Growth and the progression of the Isabel's Brand. With recent expansion abroad the Isabel's brand is poised to continue its growth nation wide in the coming years.
Duties
* Supervise and lead front of house staff, ensuring high levels of service and hospitality are maintained at all times.
* Oversee food preparation and production processes to guarantee quality and compliance with food safety regulations.
* Manage team schedules, training, and performance evaluations to foster a positive work environment.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless communication between front and back of house operations.
* Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally to enhance guest satisfaction.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, ensuring it meets health and safety standards.
* Assist in the development of menus and special promotions in collaboration with culinary staff.
* Monitor inventory levels for food and beverage supplies, placing orders as necessary.
Skills
* Proven experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team effectively.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with guests and staff.
* Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
* Culinary experience or cooking skills would be advantageous for effective collaboration with kitchen staff.
* Experience in food production and preparation is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with barista duties would be beneficial for establishments serving coffee or beverages.
* A background in hotel management could enhance the overall guest experience.
