Organisation: Argyle Community Trust (a charity and part of Plymouth Argyle Football Club).
Summary: Argyle Community Trust is expanding its employability programmes by appointing a passionate and experienced Health and Social Care Project Manager to deliver the SCORE programme. The programme has secured funding from the Princes Trust for the next three years and aims to inspire young people from diverse backgrounds to enter the health and social care sector in Plymouth and Cornwall.
Key Responsibilities
* Recruitment and engagement: develop and implement a recruitment plan, promote SCORE to young people, attend open events and visits to providers, coordinate relationships with parents/guardians, plan and deliver a communications strategy, retain participants, and network with external organisations in Plymouth and Cornwall. Adhere to safeguarding procedures.
* Management: directly manage staff in your area of responsibility, provide support plans for participants, host stakeholder meetings, report to strategic partners, develop relationships with new partners, manage expectations, measure impact using relevant tools, design development action plans, lead financial elements and ensure budget/KPIs are achieved, oversee Health & Safety and Safeguarding, and hold advisory board meetings.
* Organisation and delivery: ensure high-standard sessional delivery in the community, assess learners, provide support to ensure achievement, monitor quality and safety of delivery, support programme mentors and participants, and manage behaviour according to guidelines.
Qualifications and Skills
* Experience in recruitment and engagement with young people, mentoring, and knowledge of the health and social care sector.
* Management experience and ability to establish and maintain local and national stakeholder relationships.
* Good knowledge of health programmes, community projects, and ability to work with challenging groups.
* Understanding of monitoring and evaluation, confidence with ICT and data entry.
* Flexible, able to work occasional evenings, and support residential elements of programme delivery.
* Based in Plymouth with delivery in parts of Cornwall; travel as required by programme demands.
