Key Responsibilities
Facilities
1. To be responsible for ensuring all facility equipment is working, serviced and adhering to regulations
2. To oversee any sub contracted project on site. Ensuring all work has been carried out to the required standard(s) and predetermined methods, and any follow up visits are carried out as planned.
3. To be responsible for ensuring both site services are working correctly at all times.
4. Respond to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise.
5. To be responsible for conducting any site repairs that are not subcontracted.
6. To support the maintenance department with Electrical/Mechanical work if required
Project Design
7. To manage and support a number of key projects simultaneously for different areas within the business to support the ongoing drive for innovative and technological advances within our manufacturing processes
8. To be responsible for the introduction and implementation of digitalization around the business as required.
9. To oversee process and plant ergonomic improvement design; to improve product movement and flow, reducing/eliminating non-value added time.
10. To contribute to plant and process automation, digitalization, ergonomic enhancements, layout changes and process improvement projects
11. To be responsible for coordinating with other parties to collect and distribute project information accordingly and in a timely manner ensuring key milestones are achieved.
12. To aid other members in any emergency or critical response
13. Carrying out any other reasonable duties as requested by the Company
Essential Qualifications / Person Specifications
14. Time served within an engineering discipline (electrical bias) with a minimum of an ONC, BTEC National, City & Guilds or NVQ level 3
15. Previous experience in conducting site facilities and/or site installation work
16. Experience with or self-driven to learn project management training
17. Experience in fast moving environment
18. Flexible according to project/business needs
19. Strong interpersonal skills with customer-focused attitude
20. Able to identify important conclusions from engineering/test data
21. Self-driven attitude to learn new skills and keep up to date with new emerging technologies
Desirable Qualifications / Person Specifications
22. Experience working with a eCAD software
23. Knowledge of industry 4.0 enabling technologies
24. Fork lift truck & IPAF license
25. Awareness of when to escalate technical concerns
26. Resilient, optimistic, and able to work outside their comfort zone
27. Able to develop and maintain successful working relationships
