The firm is now seeking a Corporate Tax Manager to join their growing Edinburgh team.
The Opportunity
As Corporate Tax Manager, you’ll play a key leadership role within the Tax Compliance team managing complex portfolios, overseeing junior colleagues, and delivering tailored tax advice to a broad range of clients. This role offers the chance to combine hands-on technical work with people leadership and business development responsibilities within a leading practice.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a varied corporate tax portfolio, ensuring compliance and timely delivery across all assignments.
* Review complex corporation tax returns for larger groups and oversee advisory projects.
* Provide technical advice on corporate tax issues including group relief, R&D, and restructuring.
* Liaise closely with audit and accounting teams to ensure joined-up service delivery.
* Review WIP, monitor budgets, and ensure billing and recoverability targets are met.
* Coach, mentor, and develop junior team members, assigning challenging work and providing feedback.
* Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency using new technologies.
* Contribute to client tenders, proposals, and marketing initiatives to help win new business.
* Stay current with UK tax legislation, ensuring clients are informed of relevant updates.
About You
* ACA, ACCA, CA, CTA or ATT qualified (or qualified by experience).
* Strong experience in corporate tax compliance and advisory within a UK accountancy practice.
* Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver commercial, practical solutions.
* Confident leading conversations around pricing, planning, and client strategy.
* Strong technical knowledge of UK corporate tax legislation and current HMRC developments.
* Leadership mindset, with the ability to develop others and champion best practice.
* Commercially astute, proactive, and confident in driving efficiencies.
