YouSeq is a biotechnology company: We make test kits that are used in hospitals and labs around the world to help fight all infectious disease, cancers and other disease types.
We are looking for a meticulous individual to join our team to help QC and manufacture qPCR and NGS test kits. The successful candidate will, after training, play a key role in our quality control process. On the surface our QC and manufacturing processes are simple: All of these processes centre on the preparation and handling of reagents within tubes and plates. However, achieving efficiency and scalability requires precise technique, rigorous organisation, and detailed documentation.
The ideal candidate will be a meticulous perfectionist; good at organising processes and keeping accurate records.
Essential skills/experience:
· Proficient in the use of pipettes
· 2+ years experience of working in ISO13485 manufacturing environment or
1+ year experience working directly with qPCR and/or NGS
· Demonstratable ability to apply precision, organisation and attention to detail in laboratory workflows
· Strong practical and theoretical knowledge of qPCR
· Capable of mentoring and training junior colleagues in laboratory techniques and best practices
Desirable skills:
· Skilled in drafting, editing and reviewing technical documents
· Experience in the design, execution, and analysis of projects (i.e. equipment validations etc).
