Electrical Engineer – Automation & Robotics
Location: Midlands Area (Coventry, Birmingham, Hinckley)
Employment Type: Full-time | Field-based
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer with a background in automation and robotics to join our dynamic team. The role involves working on automated machinery and factory systems across the Midlands, with a focus on installation, maintenance, and fault diagnosis.
Key Responsibilities
* Interpret and work from electrical and technical drawings
* Panel wiring and electrical assembly
* Cable installation and routing
* Electrical fault finding and diagnostics on automated systems
* Support commissioning and testing of automation equipment
* Travel to client sites across the Midlands region
Essential Requirements
* Proven experience in an automation or robotics environment (e.g., automated factories or machinery)
* Strong understanding of electrical systems and controls
* Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
* Competent in panel wiring and cable management
* Full UK driving license
Qualifications
* JIB Gold Card
* NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
* Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent hands‑on experience
