Our mission is to empower people with skills that drive real business impact. We combine expert coaching and training, high quality learning design, and strong employer relationships to create programmes that deliver measurable results for our customers.

Role Overview

The Personal Development and Inclusion Lead will champion and embed a culture of personal development, inclusivity, and belonging across Apprentify’s curriculum. This role ensures that every learner, regardless of background or identity, has access to high-quality learning, develops the knowledge, skills, and values needed to thrive in modern Britain, and feels safe, valued, and supported.

The post holder will work collaboratively with curriculum and delivery teams to embed inclusive pedagogy, personal development themes (including safeguarding, Prevent, and British Values), and learner voice into everyday teaching and learning. They will also design and deliver CPD for staff, ensuring colleagues feel confident and equipped to support learners in an inclusive and impactful way.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

* Champion a whole-organisation approach to personal development and inclusion within Apprentify, and where required, across the wider Group.
* Lead the development of a shared understanding of inclusion, ensuring it is recognised as a collective responsibility across all roles and departments.
* Drive a culture where all learners feel safe, welcomed, and supported.

Curriculum & Teaching Support

* Partner with the Teaching and Learning Lead to embed inclusive practices, safeguarding themes, and British Values into curriculum planning and delivery.
* Ensure personal development and inclusion themes are integrated into everyday teaching, not as standalone content.
* Contribute to internal and external quality reviews, focusing on personal development, learner welfare, and inclusive practice.

Staff Development:

* Design and deliver CPD sessions to strengthen staff confidence in embedding inclusion, safeguarding, and personal development themes.
* Develop and maintain up-to-date training resources reflecting statutory guidance, Ofsted expectations, and sector best practice.
* Act as a trusted advisor to staff on inclusive pedagogy and learner engagement.

Learner Voice & Impact:

* Capture and use learner feedback and data to evaluate the impact of personal development and inclusion strategies.
* Promote learner participation in shaping inclusive practices and personal development opportunities.
* Ensure learners understand their rights, responsibilities, and opportunities in modern Britain.

Collaboration & Compliance:

* Work closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) to ensure safeguarding themes are embedded in curriculum, while maintaining clear boundaries around case management.
* Contribute to Apprentify’s Self-Assessment Report (SAR) and Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) in relation to personal development and inclusion.
* Stay up to date with statutory requirements and inspection frameworks, ensuring Apprentify exceeds compliance expectations.

Essential Skills & Experience:

* Relevant degree or equivalent professional experience in safeguarding, education, or a related field
* Strong knowledge of statutory guidance related to safeguarding, Prevent, and British Values
* Experience embedding inclusion and personal development within an education or training setting
* Proven ability to design and deliver CPD or staff training
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and support colleagues across departments
* Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
* Strong ICT skills to support reporting, record keeping, and training delivery
* Highly organised with the ability to manage priorities, adapt quickly, and meet deadlines

Desirable Skills & Experience:

* Experience contributing to self-assessment reports (SAR) and quality improvement plans (QIP)
* Experience working with diverse learner populations
