Overview

The Team Leader ensures the efficient management of court business by overseeing administrative support and customer service to users, judiciary and management. You will coordinate the use of courtrooms, maintain the court diary system, and allocate work to optimise resource utilisation while minimising delay.


Responsibilities

* Lead a team to deliver excellent administrative support and customer service.
* Maintain the court diary system and control the allocation of work to courtrooms.
* Set team priorities and objectives to meet performance targets.
* Collaborate with other court teams and the Judiciary to secure judicial resources for scheduled hearings.
* Work with Judiciary and Legal Advisers on case adjournments, remits and other listing matters.
* Ensure team utilisation of courtrooms is optimised, minimising delay and wasted time.


Qualifications & Experience

* Leadership experience in a team environment.
* Experience in an administrative role within a customer‑focused environment.
* Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* IT proficiency and the ability to learn new technologies and software packages.
* Demonstrated ability to motivate and support a team to achieve high performance.


Working Conditions

Standard full‑time hours of 37 per week, Monday to Friday. Occasional travel to the court site may be required. The role supports hybrid working arrangements where business need allows, but the employee will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of working time in an office.
