Role Overview
The Head of Nursing & Quality for Marie Curie Bradford Hospice will provide senior clinical leadership, ensuring outstanding standards of care, strong clinical governance, and a culture of continuous quality improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide visible, compassionate and credible senior nursing leadership.
* Lead and assure clinical governance, quality, risk and safeguarding.
* Drive service improvement and learning using data, audit and feedback.
* Ensure compliance with CQC, NMC and internal Marie Curie standards.
* Support, develop and inspire senior nurses and multidisciplinary teams.
* Contribute to strategic planning and regional clinical leadership forums.
Compensation & Contract
Salary: £64,500 – £72,000 per annum.
Contract: Permanent, Full Time – 35 hours per week.
Location: Marie Curie Bradford Hospice.
Qualifications & Experience
* Registered Nurse (NMC) with current level 1 registration (essential).
* Substantial senior leadership experience within complex healthcare environments, ideally hospice, palliative, community or acute settings.
* Significant experience in clinical governance, quality and patient safety.
* A track record of service improvement and change leadership.
* Confidence working with regulators (e.g., CQC) and managing inspections.
* Excellent communication and engagement skills.
* A values‑led approach aligned with compassionate, person‑centred care.
Experience in end‑of‑life or hospice care is desirable but not essential.
