The Role: As a Material Qualification Specialist, you’ll play a key role in supporting raw material qualification for OTC and Food Supplement brands within the P&G Personal Health Care (PHC) portfolio. You will work alongside colleagues to deliver cost savings and supply assurance plus support any changes as required for example to drive compliance to regulatory changes or improve the environmental impact of our products. You will be expected to work with raw material suppliers to collect and collate samples and documentation as needed by the business as well as collaborate closely with other functions across P&G such as QA, Regulatory, Plant Operations etc. All of this will lead to you building a strong understanding of our product portfolio and the raw materials that are used to produce them. Your role will be to plan, align, execute and document the work required qualify raw materials to meet specific business needs. Day to day you will be: Understanding the function and use requirements of a given raw material. Collaborating closely with other functions across P&G such as Quality assurance, Regulatory, Plant Operations etc to capture their needs. Working with raw material suppliers to collect and collate samples and technical documentation required based on the above. Conducting technical assessment on suitability of the materials (paper based and / or laboratory or pilot plant experimentation). Agreeing appropriate specifications with suppliers. Co-ordinating full scale manufacturing trials. Capturing everything in P&G internal systems as required.
