Quality Assurance Engineer – London – up to £55,000 + Bonus + Ex. Benefits - Permanent
Primary Purpose
We’re looking for a quality-focused leader who’s passionate about continuous improvement and committed to maintaining a robust, inclusive Quality Management System (QMS) at our client’s UK site. In this key role, you’ll ensure processes are up to date, compliant, and clearly owned—helping to meet high standards across the business. You’ll lead internal and external audits, root cause investigations, and contribute to major initiatives like system recertification and management reviews. Just as importantly, you’ll foster a collaborative, proactive approach to quality—one that values diverse perspectives and encourages shared ownership of success.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead the development and maintenance of the site’s QMS in alignment with ISO9001/TL9000 standards.
* Design and deliver a risk-based internal audit programme.
* Support and facilitate external audits with professionalism and transparency.
* Conduct root cause investigations using tools such as 8D, 5 Whys, and Ishikawa diagrams.
* Drive the site’s QMS recertification efforts, ensuring a collaborative, well-managed process.
* Lead annual Management Reviews in partnership with Process Owners.
* Monitor audit findings and chair weekly follow-ups to ensure timely resolution.
* Oversee controlled documentation, maintaining accuracy and regular updates.
What We’re Looking For
Required:
* Demonstrated experience in a quality role, ideally within a multidisciplinary or regulated environment.
* Strong working knowledge of ISO9001 and quality systems.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and build trust across diverse teams.
* A proactive, collaborative mindset with a strong commitment to continuous improvement.
* Proven experience delivering audits and managing corrective actions.
* ISO9001 Lead Auditor certification.
Desirable:
* Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent training in continuous improvement.
* Experience with SAP, JIRA, and investigation tools.
* Understanding of Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) and related metrics.
