Job Title: Haematology CNS
As an autonomous practitioner, you will be responsible for providing specialist, evidence-based care to Haematology patients in the hospital and within the area covered by Torbay and South Devon Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (TSDFT).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Travel to community hospitals for clinics, seeing patients, and liaising with colleagues.
2. This post is a developmental role in the specialty of Haematology nursing, dependent on the applicant.
3. Develop competencies within the specialty area, working within the departmental competency framework, and engaging in ongoing professional development.
4. Weekend and home working may be required to meet future service needs.
The Haematology (Malignant/Non-Malignant) CNS is a key member of the Haematology team at TSDFT. The role involves addressing patients’ health concerns, promoting their wellbeing, providing physical and emotional support, coordinating care services, and advising on clinical and practical issues related to their diagnosis. This aims to improve patient experiences and outcomes.
