These schools support pupils who experience barriers to learning due to challenging behaviour, emotional dysregulation, trauma, anxiety, and unmet special educational needs, and they are seeking professionals who can offer calm, consistent, and structured support. The Role As a Behaviour Mentor in Hounslow, you will work closely with pupils who struggle to regulate emotions or manage behaviour within a school environment. Many pupils present with SEMH needs, Autism, ADHD, attachment difficulties, or trauma-related behaviours. Your role is to support pupils in developing positive coping strategies, maintaining engagement with learning, and reducing behaviour incidents. You may support pupils on a 1:1 basis, in small intervention groups, or across a classroom or year group. Some roles involve supporting pupils during transitions, unstructured times, or following behaviour incidents, ensuring pupils can reintegrate into lessons safely and successfully.
