Graduate Water Engineer / Modellers – 2026 Intake
RPS, now part of Tetra Tech, is looking to reinforce its water consultancy business with Graduate Wastewater Engineers and Modellers across the Sheffield, Derby, Newcastle, and London offices. This exciting opportunity allows you to develop and progress in an environment that recognises talent and effort. Start dates are throughout 2026.
We will host a virtual Graduate Assessment Centre on 20 January 2026. The day will run from 9:25 am to around 4:00 pm and will include:
* Welcome presentation
* Group presentation exercise
* Technical assessment
* Individual interview
The graduate roles combine office/home‑based working with site visits for data collection where required.

Responsibilities
* Data handling and analysis of large datasets
* Statistical analysis of data
* Preparation of factual and interpretative reports
* Construction and maintenance of statistical models
* Client and stakeholder engagement and management
* Provide input to development, maintenance and documentation of bespoke software tools and applications
* Use of GIS, including software such as QGIS and ArcGIS
About You
* A degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Geography, Environmental Science, or GIS
* Modules covering wastewater, hydraulics, GIS or flood risk are desirable but not essential
* Good communication skills and written English
* Ability to work in a team to solve problems that matter
* Computing skills including previous experience of Excel
