Outstanding Independent Specialist School has a vacancy for a full time Teaching Assistant.
Hours: 08:20-4:30pm Monday to Thursday, 08:20-3:40pm Friday
Salary: Band 4 £25,558 – 27,345 pro rata (actual salary- £22,510-£24,084)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a strong candidate to support teaching and learning at Undershaw, an Outstanding Specialist School in Hindhead. Responsibilities
* Support teaching and learning in the classroom.
* Help pupils develop social skills, independence and self-esteem.
* Contribute to the wellbeing and pastoral care of pupils in line with school policies.
Qualifications and Skills
* Grade C (or equivalent) or above in GCSE English & Maths
* Experience of working with young people
* Good communication skills both written and verbal
* Ability to think creatively and problem solve
* A great team player with a flexible “can-do” attitude
* Understanding or an interest in Special Needs Education Needs and Disabilities
* Patient, resilient and a great sense of humour
