Year R Teaching Assistant – SEN Support

We are looking to appoint a caring and committed Teaching Assistant to work in our Year R (Reception) class at our primary school in Cosham, starting in January.
The role involves supporting a small number of children with Special Educational Needs within the Reception classroom. You will work closely with the class teacher and SEN team to help provide a nurturing, structured and inclusive learning environment, supporting children with their learning, communication, social development and independence.
The successful candidate will:
Have experience working with young children, ideally in an EYFS or Reception setting
Have experience supporting children with SEN (desirable but not essential)
Be patient, calm and nurturing
Be able to support children with routines, learning activities and play-based learning
Work well as part of a team and take direction from teaching staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
