Here at Bristol Vet Specialists we are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic RVN to join our ICU nursing team in our state of the art hospital here in Bristol. Bristol Vet Specialists is a large multidisciplinary referral hospital. Our specialist services include Emergency and Critical Care, Orthopaedic surgery, Neurology and Neurosurgery, Anaesthesia and Analgesia, Internal Medicine, Soft Tissue Surgery, Oncology, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Cardiology, Dentistry and Diagnostic Imaging. We are part of CVS (UK) Ltd, the largest provider of integrated veterinary services in the UK; the referrals division currently operates eight referral hospitals in the UK and Ireland. This role incorporates inpatient and emergency and critical care within our ICU, involving a rotating pattern of Twilights and Nights. You would be involved in the care and management of a variety of cases, working alongside our specialist team. The rota pattern follows a 4 week rotation of the following; WEEK 1 - 5 10hr Twilights 16:00 - 02:30 (Mon - Fri, 30min lunch break) WEEK 2 - 7 12.5hr Nights 20:00 - 08:30 (Mon-Sun, 1hr lunch break) WEEK 3 - Off 7 Days (Recovery) WEEK 4 - Off 7 Days (Recovery) The night team is also supported on site overnight by a general wards nurse, a second ICU nurse, one of our rotating interns and then multiple specialists and RVN's on-call, should they be needed during the night.
