Role Purpose The Quality Inspector will be responsible for ensuring that manufactured sheet metal components and assemblies meet customer, drawing, and regulatory requirements. The role is critical to maintaining high standards expected within the science sector and ensuring ongoing compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 management systems. Key Responsibilities Inspection & Quality Control · Inspect incoming materials, in-process work, and finished components against engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards · Carry out dimensional inspections using hand measuring equipment (verniers, micrometres, height gauges, etc.) · Identify, record, and report non-conformances and support corrective actions · Ensure traceability of materials and components where required · Approve or reject products in line with quality procedures Documentation & Reporting · Complete inspection records, quality reports, and non-conformance reports accurately and in a timely manner · Support the maintenance of quality documentation in line with ISO 9001 requirements · Assist with customer quality documentation such as inspection reports and certificates of conformity Process & Continuous Improvement · Work closely with production, welding, fabrication, and laser/press brake teams to resolve quality issues · Support root cause analysis and correctiv...
