About the role
The Gel Bottle is a dynamic and innovative Beauty company headquartered in the vibrant city of Brighton. Committed to excellence and embracing a collaborative work culture, we are seeking an experienced Head of Financial Planning & Analysis Manager with a proven track record in fast-growth environments.
This is a new role and is expected to addsignificant value for the business. This individual should possess the ability to make strategic recommendations on financial and operational infrastructure requirements. You will provide insightful analysis of financial performance, particularly at month end and through re-forecasting processes, with a specific focus on sales margins and stock management, as well as:
1. Financial Planning and Analysis:
* Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process and collaborate with department heads to develop financial plans aligned with business objectives.
* Recommend improvements to processes, including systems, and execute on these improvement plans.
1. Business partnering:
* Key support to department heads and lead on cross functional projects, capital expenditure appraisals and other business cases.
2. Stock Management:
* Work with supply chain and sales to optimise stock levels to meet customer demand and minimise carrying costs.
3. Operational Infrastructure Recommendations:
* Leverage your experience in a fast-growth organisation to assess and recommend improvements to financial and operational infrastructure.
4. Financial Reporting:
* Present financial reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics and variance analysis.
5. Cash Flow Management:
* Consider impact of commercial decision making on cashflow position of the business.
6. Risk Management:
* Identify risks related to sales performance, stock management, overheads and cashflow and implement strategies to mitigate against them.
This is a hybrid role, 2-3 days a week onsite at our office based in Central Brighton.
About you:
We love accountable people who like working in an autonomous environment and like to make an impact. Due to the nature of the role, we think you'll need expertise within the Beauty space, preferably in both B2B and Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) channels, to succeed. You may also need:
* ACA or CIMA.
* E-commerce product retail experience in a senior commercial finance role.
* In depth understanding of FP&A concepts and principles.
* 5+ years PQE.
* Experience in Big Corporate as well as SME.
* Finance experience in a B2B business.
* Finance experience in a Beauty business.
