A leading UK construction and engineering specialist is looking to appoint a Senior Commercial Manager to lead, support and develop a commercial team delivering a complex, high‑profile project in Didcot, Oxfordshire.

The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and support a commercial team in a positive, collaborative and high‑performing environment
* Provide trusted commercial leadership across live projects and pre‑construction
* Oversee CVRs, forecasts, valuations and monthly reporting, ensuring accuracy and clarity
* Lead claims, variations, final accounts and commercial negotiations
* Support audits, subcontract management and dispute resolution
* Work closely with operational leaders to ensure joined‑up project delivery
* Contribute commercial expertise during tendering to shape strong, competitive bids
* Improve commercial processes, controls and ways of working
* Support recruitment, onboarding and succession planning within the team
About You:
* Proven experience in Senior Commercial Management within infrastructure or a specialist contractor
* Relevant qualification (HND / Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience)
* Strong leadership style with a genuine focus on developing people
* Confident communicator with the ability to influence at senior level
* Excellent numerical, analytical and reporting skills
* Deep understanding of construction processes, contracts and commercial best practice
* Comfortable managing pressure, risk and complex commercial discussions
* Proficient with MS Office and commercial reporting tools
