About This Role
Finance Assistant
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
8.00am to 4.00pm (30 minute unpaid lunch break)
Reporting to the School Business Manager, the Finance Assistant will provide high-quality financial administration support across various financial areas within the school.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The accurate and timely maintenance of the school’s accounts, focusing on:
* Creation of purchase orders from departmental requisitions.
* Processing invoices to orders, reconciling suppliers' statements, and handling queries and discrepancies.
* Banking all income and managing cashless systems.
Responsibility for specific areas of the accounts, including:
* Posting staff expenses and claims.
* Liaising with the local authority regarding Free School Meal allowances and maintaining school records.
* Reconciling income and expenditure for school visits and following up with visit leaders on queries.
Supporting the Finance Officer with various tasks, emphasizing:
* Financial administrative duties.
* Providing information and data for financial audits.
* Ensuring value for money through appropriate procurement and tendering processes.
Plus any other reasonable duties as required.
