The Opportunity
As the Senior Electrical Commissioning Engineer, you will act under the direction of the NNB Commissioning programme, leading teams to successfully commission HPC. Building successful collaborative relationships with contractors, the HPC project delivery team, site engineering, and the plant operational organization will be critical to your success.
You will be responsible for contributing to the safe and effective commissioning of electrical systems within the HPC project. This includes critical plant systems such as LV distribution systems at 690VAC, 400VAC & 220VDC, UPS systems, large battery installations, and power transformers.
You will also contribute to planning activities to meet deadlines in a timely manner.

What You’ll Be Doing
* Ensuring all resources are ready before work starts, including work instructions, risk assessments, and tools.
* Sharing essential information such as work scope, safety rules, and permit limitations.
* Managing the handover process and confirming completion.
* Supporting commissioning engineers with electrical-related tasks across systems.
* Leading electrical commissioning tests, recording results, and ensuring compliance with procedures.
* Identifying and troubleshooting faults or design issues, updating drawings, and raising concerns or changes.
* Updating electrical system data, monitoring tests, and recording key information.
* Highlighting lessons learned and insights from work carried out.
Who You Are
You have experience in high-risk industries such as nuclear, utilities, or oil and gas, with strong technical knowledge of low voltage systems. You hold a degree in electrical engineering or an equivalent qualification, with relevant commissioning experience.
You communicate effectively, explaining complex technical details clearly. You are committed to safety and quality in high-hazard environments and have contributed to major projects in a technical role.
