Principal Engineer (Building Services) | 6 months | Hybrid
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the design and development of Building Services, Control Systems, HVAC systems, and Fire Detection Systems.
* Provide technical oversight to a small-to-medium design team, ensuring quality and compliance.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions.
* Apply nuclear industry design standards and ensure adherence to regulatory and safety requirements.
* Utilise specialist design software tools including AutoCAD, AMTECH, Dialux, and PDMS/Aviva 3D.
* Report progress, risks, and issues to senior stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience
* 10+ years' experience as an Electrical Design Engineer.
* 5+ years' experience working within the nuclear industry.
* Chartered Electrical Engineer (or equivalent professional qualification).
* Proven experience in Building Services, Control Systems, HVAC systems, and Fire Detection Systems.
* Strong leadership skills with experience overseeing design teams.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, AMTECH, Dialux, and PDMS/Aviva 3D.
