About the Role
This is a bank 0hrs flexible contract to cover annual leave, sickness and gaps in the rota. As a Bank Residential Senior Carer at a Barchester care home, you will look after the different needs of our residents to deliver quality, person‑centred care and support.
You will be responsible for leading a team of care staff, which includes training, supervision and delegating duties on shift. You will also support the administering and ordering of medication, review and update resident care plans and risk assessments, and liaise with GP's, district nursing teams and resident family members.
Like everyone here, as a Residential Senior Care Assistant you will always respect the dignity and preferences of our residents and help create a warm, welcoming and vibrant environment.
About You
The successful candidate will have an NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care. You must have previous experience in a residential care setting, proven team‑leadership skills and the ability to make appropriate decisions to support residents' needs and wellbeing.
We are looking for people who are warm‑hearted, compassionate and committed to providing individualised care and support. You will have opportunities to develop your career through ongoing training, and many Senior Carer Assistants progress into Care Practitioners, Care Community Leads or nursing pathways.
Hours
As this is a bank position to provide cover as and when we need it, the hours and days you work will vary.
