Spire Hull | Bank Medical Secretary Administrator | Competitive Salary

Spire Hull Hospital is looking to recruit an experienced Medical Secretary Administrator to join our team and support our valued Consultants in providing a high quality service.

As a Medical Secretary Administrator your main tasks is To audio type, copy and proof red transcriptions of clinical letters for NHS patients. If required by business need the scope may be extended. Raising invoices corresponding to clinical letters issued.

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ACTIVITIES:

1. Transcribing dictated clinic letters, reports, discharge summaries, and other medical documentation using audio transcription system
2. Ensuring all typed documents are accurately formatted and saved in appropriate place
3. Taking appropriate actions based on the content of the transcribed documentation
4. Adhering to GDPR and Spire data protection policies, ensuring sensitive information is handled securely.
5. Maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism, especially when dealing with sensitive or distressing clinical content
6. Other administrative duties relevant to the role

QUALIFICATIONS, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:

7. Good standard of education.
8. Excellent communication skills.
9. Professional telephone manner.
10. A good knowledge of medical, anatomical and physiological terminology.
11. Knowledge of IT systems.
12. RSA level II or equivalent.
