As an Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health Practice Advisor we will play a pivotal role in strengthening the confidence, skills and practice of frontline practitioners across Supporting Solutions and partner services. You will develop practitioners' understanding of children's emotional wellbeing, mental health and developmental trauma, including the impact of abuse, neglect, attachment disruption, loss and chronic stress. You will promote evidence‑based, trauma‑informed and relational practice, helping practitioners respond compassionately, effectively and consistently to children and families with complex emotional and psychological needs.
Durham County Council currently operates a hybrid working policy, with a model of 2 days in the workplace and 3 days at home/remote. The policy is pro‑rated for part‑time roles and arrangements are at the manager’s discretion; alternatively you may work all of your contracted hours within the workplace if you prefer.
