Allied International UK Ltd are the largest manufacturer and stockist of pipeline fittings and flanges in the UK, delivering quality products to the Oil, Gas, Petrochemical and nuclear markets.
A successful candidate would have the opportunity to work for a fast-growing company, in both workshop & office environments and would need to be able to work effectively as a team member and have strong problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct quality control inspections with in-house machine shop on products to ensure they meet company standards and customer specifications
* Perform visual inspections and measurements using in-house calibrated equipment (micrometers, calipers, shadowgraph etc)
* Analyse data and test results to identify any deviations or non-conformities
* Document inspection findings and prepare detailed reports
* Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions
* Monitor and enforce compliance with quality assurance procedures and regulations
* Managing client & third party inspectors during on-site visits & inspections
* Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and other quality control activities (most notably calibration of test equipment)
* Perform thorough review and acceptance of material test certificates for goods in orders
* Follow internal processes to maintain in-house HSE records
Preferred experience:
* Proven experience as a Quality Control Inspector or similar role
* Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or inconsistencies
* Knowledge of quality assurance principles, techniques, and tools
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and in a team environment
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to read and understand Technical Drawings
Working Hours:
* 38 1/2 Hours per week.
* 08.00 – 16:30, Monday to Thursday
* 07:30 – 15.00 Fridays.
* 24 days holidays per year (plus Bank Holidays).
