Business Support and Finance Administrator
An exciting opportunity has become available to work within the Money Management Service within the Business Support and Finance department. The position is full-time, 37 hours per week.
About you
You will track and monitor the progress of Appointeeship and Deputyship referrals, updating systems in a timely and accurate manner. You will support administration of vulnerable customers’ finances via corporate Appointeeship and Deputyship arrangements. You will manage communication with clients, carers, providers and partner organisations to clarify financial information and referral needs. You will respond promptly to calls, emails and queries relating to financial transactions, customer accounts, payments and income. You will assist with debt recovery processes, supporting the department’s debt‑avoidance procedures. You will monitor business system reports and client accounts to highlight issues, improve data quality and support service performance.

The successful candidate will have:
1. Experience working in an office or referral‑based environment requiring accuracy and attention to detail.
2. Ability to work in a fast‑paced, pressured environment with competing demands.
3. Strong IT skills, including the ability to use or learn systems.
4. Excellent organisational skills, able to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
5. Strong attention to detail, accuracy and commitment to maintaining data quality.
6. Experience working with vulnerable customers and understanding the sensitivities around managing their finances.
7. Strong relationship‑building skills with clients, providers, internal teams and external partners.
8. High level of communication skills and customer focus when supporting clients with financial or care‑related queries.
