What We’re Looking For: A recognised Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Children’s Residential Care or the willingness to work towards it (must already hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent). Proven experience managing a children’s residential home. Strong leadership, people management, and organisational skills. Excellent knowledge of safeguarding, children’s rights, and residential childcare standards. Ability to work flexibly, including on-call duties. Ensure the home consistently meets or exceeds Ofsted regulations and quality standards. Lead by example in creating a safe, nurturing, and positive environment for children and young people. Oversee care planning, safeguarding, and daily operations of the home. Recruit, train, and develop staff, supporting them to reach their full potential. Manage budgets, resources, and administrative responsibilities effectively. Work collaboratively with external agencies, families, and professionals to deliver the best outcomes.
