The school has 65 teaching staff, with departments organized under the direction of a Principal Teacher Curriculum responsible for each curricular area.

A relevant teaching qualification and registration with the General Teaching Council for Scotland are essential.
This position is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act 2007. From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check before a formal offer of employment is made by West Lothian Council.
The fee for Full PVG Scheme Membership is £59, or £18 for existing members.
