Salford Pride is seeking a dedicated and proactive Trustee with operational experience, particularly in events, logistics, and compliance, to join our Board.

What are we looking for?

We welcome applicants who can demonstrate Proven experience in operations, logistics, project management, or event planning. An understanding of legal and compliance frameworks relevant to small charities or public events. A commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion. The ability to provide and receive constructive feedback in a collaborative setting. An understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing LGBTQ+ communities (desirable).

What will you be doing?

Salford Pride is seeking a dedicated and proactive Trustee with operational experience, particularly in events, logistics, and compliance, to join our Board. This is a key governance role, with the opportunity to contribute your skills to support the safe, effective, and inclusive delivery of our projects and events. Trustees are responsible for setting the strategic direction of the organisation, ensuring good governance, and upholding our mission and values. As a Trustee with an operations focus, you will work closely with the events team to ensure robust planning and compliance across all areas of delivery. Key Areas of Oversight Event Planning & Delivery Support oversight of plans, logistics, safety, and execution of Pride events and community projects. Policies & Compliance Ensure up-to-date organisational policies are in place and followed (e.g. safeguarding, health & safety, EDI). Volunteer & Team Coordination Help guide volunteer recruitment, training, and coordination processes. Risk Management Identify and manage operational and reputational risks, including event-specific risks. Procurement & Supplier Relations Support ethical procurement and monitor supplier contracts and service agreements. Monitoring & Evaluation Review event feedback and impact data to inform future improvements. Communications & Information Flow Help maintain clear, consistent communication across teams and with the public.
