Job Overview
We are seeking experienced and passionate Qualified Social Workers to join our Safeguarding Team. You will work in a busy, supportive environment assessing and working with children and families, intervening early to provide support. Your work will involve direct assessment with children and families, collaborating with agencies such as police and health to ensure positive outcomes and sustainable change. The service maintains strong links with Integrated Prevention and Earliest Help colleagues to promote community support when social care intervention is no longer required.
Responsibilities
1. Support the delivery of person-centered, safe, and effective social care services in accordance with legislation and local requirements.
2. Make assessments and decisions on appropriate interventions using your professional expertise.
3. Establish and maintain relationships with service users and agencies to meet identified needs.
4. Ensure positive and sustainable results from interventions, striving for the best outcomes for children.
5. Protect vulnerable children and support families to thrive and flourish.
Candidate Requirements
* Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
* Experience working with children and families, including vulnerable groups.
* Creative, flexible, and forward-thinking approach.
* Knowledge of Child Protection legislation and issues.
* Commitment to continuous improvement and high-quality service.
* Excellent mediation and negotiation skills.
* Ability to build meaningful relationships with children and families.
* Experience working in multi-disciplinary, interagency settings.
* Minimum of 4 years post-qualification experience.
Role Responsibilities

2. Manage an agreed caseload.
3. Utilize specialist communication skills to achieve outcomes.
4. Develop individual care plans respecting diversity and promoting dignity.
5. Provide advice and support to unqualified staff and students.
