Manager, Business Integration
We’re looking for a Manager, Business Integration to join us in London.
The Manager, Business Integration plays an important co-ordination and support role in Merger, Acquisition and Venture activity in the Liberty Global ecosystem. This is achieved through managing (or supporting on larger projects) activities such as stress testing the business plan, synergy and capital structure analysis and transitional service agreements. From an Integration perspective, the Manager will be responsible for assisting in the co-ordination and analysis of operations and affiliates within the Liberty Global portfolio in areas such as performance monitoring and leveraging the expertise of central services .
What will you be doing?
M&A Transactions
* Develop detailed financial models to analyze the impact of the transaction on key financial metrics such as earnings, cash flow
* Support the Financial Due Diligence process by coordinating process with external advisors and internal teams
* Responsible for coordinating/supporting analysis of Synergies / Dis-synergies based on bottom up analysis backed by LG benchmarks
* Assist in synergy estimation and manage coordination with relevant Strategy team personnel to ensure these are accurately reflected in the business planoDuring the diligence phase, support the cost synergy validation process
* Oversee certain transaction related tasks allocated to more junior members of staff (i.e. graduates)
* Coordinate efforts to explore corporate services provision opportunities throughout the deal lifecycle
Integration/Separation
* Co-ordinate/support the creation of a standardized Capital Allocation Report (CAR – LG Finance’s P&L template) approach for the evaluation and performance monitoring of all acquisition plans
* Post signing, play a supporting role in the integration/separation planning process with a strong focus on synergy delivery and Day 1 readiness
* Post closure, support synergy realization and coordinate/provide analysis of targeted versus achieved synergy results
* Benchmark achieved synergies
* Support local teams in the delivery of integration plans across LG affiliates
* Support the coordination of post-acquisition integration in conjunction with various LG groups
* Oversee certain integration related tasks allocated to more junior members of staff (graduates)
Ventures
* Responsible for assisting in the analysis of current and prospective portfolio investments align to LG Finance Standards and Principles
* Support delivery of the Corporate Shared Services vision as part of the Liberty Global Finance Federation model
* Support Liberty Global best practices and performance monitoring
We tend to look for people with:
* M&A and Integration experience (desirable)
* Professional finance qualification (desirable)
* Proven experience working with financial budgets, actuals, business cases, modelling and project co-ordination
* Financial modelling: able to create and maintain sophisticated financial models to support various business initiatives and investment strategies
* Coordination: able to work across numerous departments and disciplines to achieve a common goal
* Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail, whilst maintaining big picture perspective
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
* Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders across an international footprint
* Communication: excellent verbal and written communication skills, clearly and concisely convey ideas to management to drive timely decisions
* Proactive, self-starting, pragmatic and reliable
* Flexible outlook, adaptable to changing priorities and comfortable managing workload and deadline pressures
