Are you a driven leader with a passion for precision engineering and high-performance engines? We’re looking for an experienced Engine Shop Supervisor to take charge of our dynamic Engine Department, where innovative, quality, and performance are at the heart of everything we do.
This role would suit an experienced Engine Builder ready to step into a supervisory position, or a current or former Workshop Foreman/Manager with a strong mechanical background and a passion for precision engineering.
THE ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
* Lead, manage, and develop the engine team, fostering a culture of responsibility, accountability, and excellence.
* Be a part of the build planning to coordinate engine build schedules to meet internal and external customer deadlines.
* Oversee the teardown, re-assembly, testing, and maintenance of high-performance engines.
* Ensure all engines are built, inspected, and documented to the highest standards of quality and performance.
* Work closely with engineering, manufacturing and other departments to ensure specifications and delivery targets are met.
* Implement and maintain robust quality control processes and documentation.
* Conduct performance evaluations, provide training and support the development of team members.
* Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and reduce downtime.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for a self‑motivated team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude. The ideal candidate will be:
* Proven experience in a similar role within a high-performance automotive or motorsport workshop.
* Educated to technician level and have an understanding of engine mechanics and their systems.
* Understanding of mechanical knowledge with excellent attention to detail and highly organised.
* Strong organisational and time management skills, with a hands‑on approach.
* Skilled in multitasking and prioritising workloads under pressure.
* Excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for problem solving.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
* Direct experience in performance or motorsport engine builds.
* Experience managing apprentices or junior technicians.
