What You'll Do Manage and quality-assure a portfolio of fire risk assessment projects across a range of sectors Line-manage and mentor Fire Risk Assessors, providing technical support, coaching, and workload oversight Deliver complex fire risk assessments yourself, including higher-risk and technical premises Review and sign off FRA reports and action plans, ensuring they are clear, prioritised, and commercially sensible Contribute to fire engineering work (fire strategies, technical reports, design input) with support from senior engineers What You'll Bring Proven experience as a Fire Risk Assessor at senior or principal level, with team leadership or mentoring experience Strong knowledge of UK fire safety legislation, guidance, and standards across a range of occupancies Level 4 fire risk assessment qualification, IFSM or IFE membership, and Tier 2 register entry (minimum) Excellent communication skills; confident engaging with clients, contractors, and senior stakeholders Willingness to travel regularly to client sites Pathway to Fire Engineering Work alongside fire engineers on selected projects Fully funded progression towards a Level 5 Diploma and/or Fire Engineering degree Gradually take on greater involvement in fire engineering design and strategy as your competence grows What You'll Get Competitive salary, mileage, and expenses Structured development and CPD, including mentoring from experienced fire engineers Exposure to diverse projects and occupancies across the UK Supportive, collaborative team culture with real scope to shape how the service develops We are an equal opportunities employer, committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce.
