Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs required in Suffolk. Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support. We are on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to young people with SEN (Special Education Needs) / SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH needs. We are increasingly supporting children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties) and SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties). We are looking for SEN / SEND tutors with a genuine passion for transforming the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners in Suffolk. Targeted Provision aims to raise the standard of educational support offered to vulnerable young people in the UK, and you will be supported throughout every placement by our SEN / SEND Support Specialists.
This role is ideal for qualified SEN / SEND teachers who prefer 1:1 tutoring with children and young people with a variety of learning needs, in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner, to raise engagement and improve educational outcomes.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role
* This role involves providing Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* You will work with young people referred by local authorities and schools who require educational and social-emotional support
* Support is delivered via flexible and holistic trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
SEN / SEND Tutor tasks and responsibilities
* Plan each session of teaching, tutoring, and mentoring
* Provide holistic and engaging sessions that meet needs and advance educational and social-emotional journeys
* Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on progress
SEN / SEND Tutor requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or other Additional Educational Needs
* Experience and understanding of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (assistance to obtain at cost if needed)
* Two professional references
* You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, including remote/online assignments
It is a strict requirement that you promote the health, safety and wellbeing of children and young people and follow safeguarding policies at all times.
SEN / SEND Tutor employment status
* This position involves engaging with us as a Worker to provide short-term engagements as they arise
* You will work through a contract for service and be paid via PAYE
* We do not offer any set amount of work nor expenses coverage
* Our insurance covers the work you do for us
* This is not a self-employed tutoring/teaching position
