Jered - Marine system Technology, a PAR Company, focuses on providing global naval marine customers with complex naval marine door systems, hatches and cutting-edge fire-resistant panel systems.
We are seeking a dedicated and quality-oriented Manufacturing Technician to join our dynamic team. This position will primarily be at the workshop based in Winsford, with customer-site work when required. (when trained - up to 2 weeks away circa 4+ times per year)
Duties
* Operate equipment safely and effectively for production processing.
* Maintain quality on all products whilst performing daily tasks
* Assist with engineering manufacturing problem solving and assistance
* Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot production issues and implement effective solutions.
* Maintain accurate records of production data, including output levels and equipment performance.
* Interpret engineering drawings and specifications in relation to work instructions
* Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
* Visit customer sites to perform on-site problem solving, service, warranty functions
* Assess the failure / warranty and assist with repair organisation within the Team
Requirements
* NVQ Level 3 Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent qualification)
* Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
* Must be able to obtain security clearance to military naval marine access (UK settled status)
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Flexibility to work shifts as required by production schedules.
* Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a manufacturing setting is advantageous.
* Good communication skills, both verbal and written
Working hours are Monday to Thursday and Friday There is also the option for a 9-day fortnight work pattern.
