We are looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our client in Essex. This contract role is for an initial 12‑month term with a high likelihood of extension and is outside IR35. The position is fully on‑site, 5 days a week.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce high‑quality electrical design solutions using EPLAN Electric P8
* Develop and maintain detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and design documentation
* Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver robust design solutions
* Support project delivery in line with engineering schedules and deadlines
* Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards and client specifications
* Assist with technical problem‑solving and design improvements throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements
* Strong, demonstrable experience using EPLAN (essential)
* Background in Electrical Design Engineering within an industrial or engineering environment
* Ability to produce detailed electrical schematics and technical documentation
* Strong understanding of electrical systems design principles
* Experience working within project‑driven engineering teams
* Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving ability
* Ability to work effectively on‑site in a collaborative environment
